There will be three ways to be heard and present feedback in this process: a survey (Disciple Maker Index), two parish listening sessions, and a post listening session survey.
Every parish in the Archdiocese of St. Louis will be participating in the archdiocesan-wide Disciple Maker Index (DMI) Survey between Ash Wednesday, March 2 and April 4, 2022. This nationally-recognized survey has been administered at parishes around the United States and Canada since 2013. The results from the survey will not only be used for information and planning for parishes, but will also be included in the national results which track trends, growth and Church-related opportunities nationwide.
The Disciple Maker Index (DMI) is an anonymous survey of parishioners that provides insights into the level of missionary discipleship in the parish in addition to the effectiveness of the Mass experience, preaching and other aspects of parish life.
As part of the ongoing strategic process for All Things New, the Archdiocese will be hosting listening sessions for each parish in fall 2022. Parishioner participation in these sessions is critical to helping shape the future of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Over 350 listening sessions are anticipated throughout the Archdiocese. Listening session dates are to be determined. Sign-ups will be offered through the All Things New website.
After participating in the listening sessions you will be able to take a more in depth survey on the model that was presented to you.
