The St. Clare of Assisi School Advisory Board meets five times a year.
Canon and Church law governs Catholic schools. Catholic schools and board members derive their authority from the provisions of Canon law. As a consultative body to the pastor and the principal, St. Clare of Assisi School Advisory Board members realize their authority is vested in the board acting as a board. Their work is to assist the pastor in making policies to direct the operation of the school. Policy will dictate what the board wishes to be done, but policy is not concerned with administration or implementation.
